The Process Engineer's role at LyondellBasell is pivotal in providing process technical expertise and innovation to the operating units within the Perrysburg site. In this position, the Process Engineer will oversee and provide primary input for all process profiles and equipment setups. Key responsibilities include identifying, acquiring, and qualifying process equipment, ensuring that manufacturing processes are thoroughly documented, and participating in problem-solving activities to develop intellectual property. The role demands strong communication, organizational, and technical skills to effectively manage projects and drive improvements. The Process Engineer will incorporate principles of process safety, environmental soundness, and reliable operations into all projects and tasks. They will develop and support projects that enhance the profitability, reliability, environmental integrity, and safety of the plant. Continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes will be a significant focus, including the modernization of processes. The engineer will interact with internal and external experts, vendors, and consultants to implement improvements and provide hands-on technical support for equipment qualification and process validation. Additionally, they will assist in developing essential documentation such as specifications, protocols, SOPs, batch records, work instructions, and test procedures. The role also involves working closely with operations to implement solutions to manufacturing challenges based on experimental data and optimizing the performance and efficiency of all processes.
