About the position

The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety within a leading custom machined parts company. This role involves analyzing production methods, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and minimize waste in alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop manufacturing processes, workflows, and procedures to optimize efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Continuously evaluate existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, such as reducing cycle times, minimizing waste, and enhancing product quality.
  • Investigate production issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality deviations to diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Select and implement appropriate machinery, tools, and equipment to support efficient and reliable manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct validation studies and experiments to ensure that manufacturing processes meet regulatory requirements, quality standards, and customer specifications.
  • Document process changes, procedures, and specifications accurately.
  • Generate reports, data analyses, and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Manage projects related to process improvement, equipment upgrades, new product introductions, or capacity expansions from conception to implementation, ensuring timely completion and successful outcomes.
  • Provide training and guidance to production personnel on new processes, equipment, and procedures to ensure proper implementation and adherence to standards.
  • Utilize Lean tools and concepts to identify and eliminate waste in all forms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, preferably in chemical, mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
  • 3+ years of prior experience in manufacturing or a machine shop environment.
  • Local candidates only, with industry experience.
