About the position

ReSource is seeking a Chemical Engineer to join our team, focusing on process development and scale-up engineering for our innovative technology that produces FDCA from CO2 and inedible biomass. This role is critical in optimizing and scaling process steps to inform design decisions for an integrated pilot plant, contributing significantly to the commercialization of sustainable plastics.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and scale process steps for FDCA production.
• Inform design decisions for the integrated pilot plant.
• Collaborate with team members to solve complex technical problems.
• Ensure process safety management and conduct process hazards analysis.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in process engineering for new technology commercialization.
• Experience in designing, assembling, and operating continuous reactors.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to parse complex technical problems.
• Team player with experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in process safety management and hazards mitigation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in oxidation chemistry and heterogeneous catalysis.
