About the position

The Process Engineer at RSCC Wire & Cable LLC is responsible for initiating and developing manufacturing processes to ensure conformity to customer specifications and production capabilities. This role focuses on improving existing manufacturing technologies, coordinating capital equipment improvements, and implementing cost-effective solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce scrap in the production of wire and cable products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing technology and improve manufacturing processes for wire and cable products.
  • Gather technical data, analyze problems, and implement resolutions to enhance production efficiency.
  • Initiate ideas and recommendations for assigned projects to optimize equipment, materials, and workforce usage.
  • Diagnose manufacturing issues related to machinery and materials, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Reduce scrap and improve material usage through efficient manufacturing methods.
  • Assist in cost reduction studies and equipment utilization projects, including quality control audits and operator training.
  • Coordinate capital equipment improvements and conduct investigations for process enhancements.
  • Liaise between manufacturing, Research and Development, and Application Engineering to support cost reductions and new product introductions.
  • Implement operational improvement programs related to product quality, efficiency, and material control.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Production, preferably in the wire and cable industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Technology, or an Associate degree in a related field with relevant work experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, across all organizational levels.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma and Lean Tools is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

Nice-to-haves

  • Lean Six Sigma certification or background.
  • Strong leadership potential and ability to combine technical and management disciplines.
