As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving a high-performance work culture by actively engaging with floor technicians. Your responsibilities will include coaching team members to enhance their problem-solving skills, make informed decisions, and foster self-reliance among the workforce. You will be tasked with organizing and prioritizing initiatives in collaboration with plant leadership to align with the master plan and long-term vision of the organization. This position offers an opportunity to expand your skills and capabilities across Operations and Supply Chain, providing a solid foundation in understanding how our products are manufactured and how our work systems function. In this role, you will develop an expert-level understanding of the manufacturing processes, mechanics, instrumentation, and product specifications specific to your designated line or area. You will provide essential technical support to the line and area teams, coaching engineers and operating teams to identify root causes of issues and eliminate losses. Your efforts will be directed towards enhancing overall safety, quality, and productivity by eliminating defects, executing loss-saving initiatives, and building capabilities within the operating teams. You will also take ownership of the Commissioning, Qualification, and Verification (CQV) process for new projects, acting as the single point of contact and key organizational leader between the engineering and operations teams. This will ensure full involvement during project execution and a seamless transition during turnover to operations. Addressing performance gaps in your line or area will be a priority, achieved through the implementation and effective coaching of the company's Continuous Improvement methodologies while fostering a zero-loss culture. Active participation in training and qualification programs for your designated line or area will be expected, including participation in assessments, ensuring effective training, and maintaining consistent qualification standards. You will be responsible for managing reliability and quality data for your designated line or area using Proficy plant applications software, including improving methods for collecting accurate data. Effective interpersonal skills, along with time and resource management abilities, will be essential for completing project assignments successfully.
