About the position

Stryten Energy is seeking a Process Engineer to join their process engineering team in Salina, Kansas. This role focuses on integrating chemical reaction requirements with mechanical manufacturing processes for active material preparation. The Process Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing manufacturing efficiency, operator safety, and product quality across various operations, including oxide, paste mixing, and curing. Responsibilities

• Execute new capital projects as Project Manager or Plant Support Manager.
• Support EHS initiatives and protocols to promote a zero-injury culture.
• Foster a collaborative teamwork culture across all departments.
• Introduce and implement new materials, processes, and equipment.
• Generate cost reduction and product quality improvement ideas.
• Utilize lean concepts to achieve KPI goals.
• Provide engineering troubleshooting and problem-solving assistance.
• Develop and maintain equipment Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate and implement safety and training programs for new processes.
• Lead teams to eliminate critical equipment downtime issues through root cause analysis.
• Execute continuous improvement strategies in areas of expertise.
• Identify best practices to reduce equipment downtime and improve efficiency.
• Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.
• Perform other assigned work, including 5S cleaning.

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Engineering required.
• 2-4 years of prior process experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Proficient in general office equipment and software, including JDE and Microsoft Office.
