The Process Engineer will be responsible for the design and engineering of chemical plants, focusing on process design and the development of process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID). This role requires a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles and the ability to apply them in a practical setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in various industrial sectors, including chemical, agrochemical, pharmaceutical, fine chemicals, specialty chemicals, and food and beverages. A background in surfactant manufacturing is highly preferred, as it aligns closely with the specific needs of our projects. In this position, the Process Engineer will be tasked with preparing and interpreting PFDs and P&IDs, conducting mass and energy balance calculations, and performing hydraulic calculations. A solid grasp of fundamental chemical engineering concepts such as heat transfer, fluid mechanics, solid handling, and mass transfer is essential. The engineer will also be responsible for specifying process plant equipment, ensuring that selections meet project requirements, and having hands-on experience in this area is crucial. Additional responsibilities include sizing and designing powder handling equipment, specifying pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, and other essential equipment independently. The engineer will also play a key role in selecting safety devices and participating in process safety management activities. Previous experience with sanitary piping and process systems will be considered a valuable asset. Proficiency in MS Office applications is mandatory, while familiarity with AutoCAD and hydraulic calculation software such as AFT Fathom and AFT Arrow will be advantageous.
