The Process Engineer will assist Process Engineers in capturing operational data as outlined in work instructions. The role involves assisting floor personnel with technical issues encountered during production, driving quality and labor improvements, and assisting the business team with customer/build-related issues that may require technical expertise. The Process Engineer will collect data, help establish processes upon initiation via NPI, ECN, or process improvement, and create technical process manuals and documents as outlined by Process Engineering or Manufacturing personnel. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the training of personnel in the use of documentation, equipment, and associated processes. The Process Engineer will work with a wide range of individuals (customers, suppliers, management, production workers, etc.) and understand the concept of 'know your audience' to tailor their approach. They will provide support to other departments and support company objectives as defined by the Engineering Manager, provide status updates to Process Engineer and/or other Managers concerning progress on assigned activities, assist production with technical/process issues, write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
