Our client is currently seeking a Process Engineer for a 1st shift opening with a manufacturing company located near College Station, TX. This role is critical in ensuring that the manufacturing processes are optimized for efficiency and quality. The Process Engineer will collaborate closely with plant production and quality assurance teams to enhance processes, maximize machine performance, prioritize safety, and ensure consistent product quality. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in manufacturing operations. The Process Engineer will champion the development and implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems, which are essential for monitoring and controlling the manufacturing process. Additionally, the engineer will evaluate and introduce new materials in collaboration with Engineering & Technical Services (E&TS), ensuring that the materials used meet the required standards for quality and performance. A significant part of the role involves developing and continually updating preventative maintenance plans for molds and injection molding machines, working closely with E&TS and machine suppliers to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment. Driving continuous improvement in existing operations is a key responsibility, where the Process Engineer will identify opportunities for product and process optimization. This includes being a go-to resource for mold and equipment troubleshooting and repairs, providing ongoing technical support to plant operations, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols while maximizing productivity and quality to meet delivery targets. The engineer will also assist in evaluating components and testing new products, including new mold and equipment installations, and coordinate all Pro-T-Con activities to develop and implement improvements in processes, products, and equipment across the plant. Furthermore, the Process Engineer will be responsible for developing clear and concise standard operating procedures (SOPs) for molding machines and related equipment, ensuring that all processes are documented and followed correctly.
