About the position

The Process Engineering Data Architect at Brightspeed is responsible for driving Operational Excellence through the optimization, design, and implementation of cross-functional processes and systems. This role requires a strong background in data science and data engineering principles, focusing on creating structured programs to audit, improve, control, and drive continuous improvements across customer-facing and back-end processes. The architect will lead the Process Engineering function, leveraging techniques such as Six Sigma and AI to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in business operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide necessary data infrastructure.
• Optimize and improve existing data architectures and processes for efficiency and performance.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data sources and storage systems.
• Develop and implement data models to support analytics and machine learning applications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing the status of process engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably with a background in data science.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis.
• Strong understanding of SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
