About the position

The Process Engineering/Quality Manager at Morgan Advanced Materials is responsible for overseeing the process engineering team across all value streams in a high-speed manufacturing environment. This role focuses on enhancing plant efficiency through troubleshooting, data analysis, and problem-solving methods, while ensuring quality throughout the design, development, manufacturing, and operations processes. The manager will lead strategic initiatives to comply with customer requirements and regulatory standards, fostering staff development and accountability within the Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the process engineering team across all value streams.
• Provide guidance and foster staff development in a high-speed manufacturing setting.
• Enhance plant efficiency through troubleshooting, data analysis, and problem-solving methods.
• Recommend, develop, and implement enhancements to production processes, materials, methods, and controls.
• Ensure quality throughout the design, development, manufacturing, engineering, support, and operations processes.
• Lead the strategic direction for site initiatives ensuring compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Instill site accountability for governance of the Quality Management System, product acceptance, and product quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Process Engineering, or Engineering.
• Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Design of Experiments (DOEs), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Ishikawa Diagrams.
• Strong program and project management, leadership, team building, and mentoring skills.
• Experience with Automated and Semi-Automated assembly.
• Minitab experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification and ISO 9001 Quality Management System experience.

• Experience in Time management.
