About the position

The Process Engineering Technician role at On Point Personnel LLC involves monitoring and improving manufacturing processes to ensure optimal performance and quality. The technician will provide technical support, assist in troubleshooting, and collaborate with supervisors and managers to enhance production efficiency and customer satisfaction. This position requires hands-on involvement in maintaining equipment, training staff, and participating in safety and quality improvement programs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor & record process performance daily
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Ensure equipment and processes meet and sustain standard production outputs
  • Work closely with tool room & department manager for scheduling any tool work that is required
  • Provide ideas and corrective actions for ongoing manufacturing issues
  • Create and keep updated work instructions at stations at all times
  • Work closely with supervisors on new ideas to improve processing procedures
  • Perform activities that support the supervisors operational functions, such as audits and training
  • Maintain the highest quality and fastest cycle on all processes at all times
  • Implement and maintain procedures that will contribute to the improvement of the entire process
  • Inspect and maintain procedures that will contribute to the improvement of the entire process
  • Train Production Supervisors, Process Technicians, and operators
  • Assist in shut-downs and start-ups
  • Participate in 5S+Safety program, performing audits and activities derived from this program
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Technical and troubleshooting skills, comfortable handling and diagnosing electronic devices
  • Experience with personal computers (Mac/Dell, HP)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual operations

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic technical English acceptable
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement teams
