About the position

The Process Improvement Engineer will lead multidisciplinary teams to execute technical projects and production trials in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role focuses on enhancing process safety, improving yield, reducing waste and energy consumption, and qualifying raw materials. The engineer will be responsible for defining and solving complex manufacturing problems while ensuring effective communication and collaboration across various organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to execute technical projects and production trials at a manufacturing scale.
  • Focus on yield improvements, waste and energy reduction, debottlenecking, and raw material qualifications.
  • Exhibit initiative and leadership to overcome barriers through collaboration and innovative thinking.
  • Define and solve complex chemical manufacturing problems and implement lasting solutions.
  • Communicate effectively to gain organizational buy-in for improvements.
  • Document best practices and share results from completed projects to ensure sustained impacts.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • 3 years of Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification is preferred.
  • Experience with statistical analysis software, PI Vision, or Distributed Control Systems is an advantage.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $105,000 - $120,000 per year.
