About the position

The Process Improvement Engineer (PIE) Leader at PepsiCo is responsible for enhancing operational efficiency, production capabilities, and stability within the manufacturing environment. This role focuses on cost efficiency, continuous process improvements, and safety, while leading initiatives that drive true efficiency (TE) and quality. The PIE Leader will develop and execute improvement plans, facilitate Lean Six Sigma projects, and coach team members to achieve performance goals, all while ensuring effective communication and collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve true efficiency (TE) and running efficiency (RE).
  • Develop and execute loss analysis and TE improvement plans.
  • Lead Manufacturing transformation initiatives at the site.
  • Facilitate Lean Six Sigma (LSS) project management throughout the plant.
  • Manage the Centerline System, including development and change management initiatives.
  • Lead rapid changeover activities to reduce changeover time.
  • Conduct analytical troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Develop annual operating plans, yield, and fixed budgets.
  • Coach and train team members on operational issues and performance goals.
  • Deliver effective change leadership while minimizing impact on personnel.
  • Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve operational issues.
  • Provide reliability and variability downtime analysis support to operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, business, operations management, or a similar field.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a consumer products manufacturing operation.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of major continuous improvement projects.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and action-oriented.
  • Ability to make independent and sound decisions.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Business Finance principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with TPM pillars - FI, AM, PM, EM.
  • Understanding of the CQV process - Commissioning, Qualification, Verification.
