About the position

The Process Improvement Manager will lead major process improvement projects and initiatives within the banking and finance sector, focusing on enhancing processes across various business units. This role requires leveraging methodologies such as Six Sigma, LEAN, and Project Management to consult with business and executive leadership, aiming to develop strategic recommendations that drive efficiency and value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the development of continuous improvement initiatives while consulting with and influencing internal stakeholders.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives by measuring, analyzing, and discussing process alternatives to identify viable solutions and best practices.
  • Prepare recommendations for presentation to senior management, prioritizing and executing process re-engineering efforts.
  • Develop project plans and execution frameworks for assigned activities.
  • Identify and document opportunities for process automation and develop the associated business case.
  • Regularly communicate project status, issues, and risks to the project sponsor.
  • Ensure sustainable measurement systems are established for key deliverables in each project.
  • Develop business cases and project benefits, monitoring actual results against projected outcomes.
  • Coordinate teams of up to 20 individuals across various functions and organizational levels.
  • May involve coaching and mentoring Process Analysts or Six Sigma Green Belts.
  • Support larger strategic projects or process initiatives under the guidance of higher management.
  • Drive the implementation of solutions within the business as needed.
  • Measure, track, and report ongoing benefits up to one year after project completion.
  • Understand and adhere to risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in alignment with the organization's risk appetite.
  • Promote a diverse work environment that reflects the organization's values.
  • Maintain internal control standards, ensuring timely implementation of audit points and addressing issues raised by external regulators.

Requirements

  • Experience in commercial banking, preferably in equipment finance.
  • Strong background in creating Level 3: Task-level process maps and identifying risk controls.
  • Ability to facilitate and document workflows and processes remotely with various business owners.
