About the position

As a Process Integration Engineer at GlobalFoundries, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, focusing on various projects that aim to enhance process yield, reduce costs, and improve integrated process capabilities. This role is designed for new college graduates, providing a unique opportunity to engage in a fast-paced work environment where you will receive accelerated training and mentorship. You will be involved in technology ramp and technology transfers, which are critical to our operations. Your responsibilities will include gathering and analyzing data to define problems and drive improvements, summarizing findings, and communicating these across key stakeholders. You will also be responsible for driving closure of the control plan to secure improvements, ensuring that all activities are performed in a safe and responsible manner, in line with our Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements. In this role, you will define opportunities for improvement based on performance metrics such as yield, capability, cost, and delivery. You will gather and analyze data to enhance your understanding of the problems at hand, develop and test hypotheses regarding root causes, and implement effective solutions. Additionally, you will document and globalize your learnings to contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes. This position is located at our facility in Essex Junction, Vermont, and requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and engineering skills to succeed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Education - Graduating with Bachelor's or Master's in engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics or related field from an accredited degree program.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
  • Language Fluency - English

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
