About the position

The Process Integration Engineer IV (E4) position at Applied Materials is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of customer technologies and requirements. This position involves interfacing with customers to analyze technical requirements and ensure that the integration processes meet their needs. The engineer will be responsible for defining efficient process flows, conducting risk gap analyses, and outlining the scope of builds. This role is pivotal in solving complex problems and improving products or services by leveraging best practices and knowledge of both internal and external business issues. In this role, the engineer will engage in process integration in the field, addressing critical issues as they arise. They will review processes both upstream and downstream, recommending solutions on a case-by-case basis. The engineer will also assess the impacts of process and module changes on device performance and reliability. Responsibilities include creating test site designs, developing process control monitors, and establishing metrics for process development. Monitoring process steps and ensuring that wafer flow aligns with deliverables in terms of both time and performance is essential. Collaboration is key, as the engineer will work with various process modules, business teams, and customers to ensure successful project deliveries. Identifying critical gaps and managing the implementation of solutions throughout the work cycle is a significant part of the role. The engineer will technically lead complex application activities and execution teams, conducting evaluations and demos at customer sites.
