About the position

The Process Integration Engineering Intern at GlobalFoundries is designed for students pursuing a degree in engineering or related fields. This internship provides a meaningful work experience in the semiconductor industry, focusing on process yield, cost reduction, and technology transfers. Interns will work closely with engineering teams, receive mentorship, and have opportunities for professional development while contributing to real projects.

Responsibilities

• Define opportunities for improvement based on risk or performance against key metrics (yield, performance, capability, cost, delivery).
• Gather and analyze data to enhance understanding of problems.
• Develop and test hypotheses of the root cause.
• Develop and implement solutions to identified problems.
• Summarize findings and communicate them across key stakeholders.
• Document and globalize learning from projects.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner, supporting Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a bachelor or master's degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics, or a related field.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
