About the position

As a Process Integration Engineering Intern at GlobalFoundries, you will be immersed in a dynamic and innovative environment that is at the forefront of the semiconductor industry. This internship is designed to provide you with a meaningful work experience that will equip you with the skills necessary to embark on a successful career in this fast-paced field. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our engineering team on various projects that focus on process yield, cost reduction, integrated process capability, technology ramp, and technology transfers. Your role will involve gathering and analyzing data to define problems and drive improvements, summarizing findings, and communicating results to key stakeholders. This position is located at our facility in Essex Junction, Vermont, and requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and engineering skills. During your internship, you will benefit from one-on-one mentorship, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives. You will be expected to perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner, supporting all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. Responsibilities

  • Define opportunities for improvement based on risk or performance against a key metric (yield, performance, capability, cost, delivery)
  • Gather and analyze data that enhances the understanding of the problem
  • Develop and test hypotheses of the root cause
  • Develop and implement solutions
  • Summarize findings and communicate across key stakeholders
  • Document and globalize learning
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor or master's in engineering, materials science, chemistry or physics or related field
  • Fluency in English (Written & Verbal)
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship
