About the position

The Process Maintenance Technician - Flotation is responsible for executing maintenance tasks safely and efficiently at the Robinson Copper Mine. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing various equipment, ensuring operational reliability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Technicians will work primarily during the day but may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild Crushers, SAG and Ball Mills, Conveyors, Belt Feeders, Hydraulic Systems, Pumps, and Pipefitting.
• Demonstrate an ability and desire to upgrade skills and knowledge through on-the-job experience and off-the-job studies.
• Assist Operations Technicians as required.
• Work 10-hour straight days, with potential future shifts of 12 hours and rotating schedules.
• Be available for call outs and work overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.

Requirements

• Candidates must provide their own tools (a tool program is available).
• A valid Driver's License is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years related experience in mill maintenance is preferred.
• Fabrication experience and welding qualification is strongly desired.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, service manuals, and parts books.
• Ability to operate all shop tools and equipment.
• Basic competency in personal computer operation and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in fabrication and welding qualifications.
