The Process Manager for Emerging Payments at Capital One plays a crucial role in risk management within the Enterprise Services Risk Office. This position focuses on leading process-based risk assessments to identify and evaluate risks associated with emerging payment technologies, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and enhancing customer experiences. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and senior leaders to drive improvements in risk management practices.
Responsibilities
- Serve as process management risk advisor for the Emerging Payments business.
- Lead analysis of various business and risk data to proactively identify risks, trends, and process improvements.
- Provide guidance on process management in alignment with Enterprise frameworks and risk management principles.
- Stay current on regulatory environment changes and digital payments industry trends.
- Lead risk assessment project delivery, including oversight of deliverables and reporting.
- Participate in risk and management forums to contribute to continuous improvement.
- Lead cross-functional teams through various initiatives focused on the Emerging Payments business.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification.
- At least 2 years of experience in the Financial Services or Technology industries.
- At least 5 years of experience in project, program, process, or risk management.
- At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with stakeholders.
Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Services or Technology with a focus on digital payments.
- Previous experience in consulting.
- Process development, documentation, or improvement experience.
- Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance software tools.
- Certifications such as BPM, Six Sigma, Agile Coach, CRCM, AAP, APRP, PMP, PgMP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC.
- Experience managing risks related to customer data protection, encryption, and tokenization.
