About the position

As a Process Manager in Supply Chain Business Excellence at AbbVie, you will lead complex Lean Six Sigma (LSS) projects across the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful delivery of all aspects of project coordination, communication, and execution. You will identify opportunities to reduce operating costs and cycle times while significantly increasing efficiency. This role requires you to improve the organization's capabilities by training and mentoring personnel on Business Excellence tools, providing guidance and leadership to Sponsors, Green-belt, and Kaizen candidates. Establishing strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders will be crucial to your success. You will facilitate the analysis of opportunities and risks, identify impacts, and make recommendations to the business while demonstrating leadership in setting and aligning project direction. Strong leadership skills are essential as you will develop strategic scenarios and options that align with the supply chain's strategic focus priorities. Managing stakeholder relationships and expectations will be a key part of your role, as will identifying and executing continuous improvement efforts to meet service, quality, and cost objectives. In this position, you will support and motivate teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects. You will provide training and coaching to sponsors, Black Belts, Green Belts, and Kaizen leaders within the team. Implementing lean warehousing methodologies throughout the warehousing and logistics operations will also be part of your responsibilities. You will manage a group of individuals capable of identifying and executing continuous improvement efforts to meet customer service, quality, and cost objectives. Additionally, you will provide reliable processes, data-driven problem-solving, and robust root cause analysis capabilities to support the operational Supply Chain excellence team. Regular value stream mappings will be performed to gain efficiencies in the department or area, and you will lead multiple high-impact process improvement projects across the organization.

Requirements

  • 10 years of business experience, with a minimum of 4 years of LSS experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred disciplines include Sciences, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Management.
  • An accredited LSS Black Belt is required; PMP is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving, analytical, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Financial acumen and ability to assess project ROI.
  • Proven experience in leading LSS projects in operational and transactional settings.
