About the position
The Process Mapping Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing and improving business processes through data gathering, process mapping, and facilitating workshops. This role focuses on identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions to enhance workflow efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Conducting interviews with stakeholders to gather data on process steps, timings, and decision points.
- Creating visual representations of processes using tools like flowcharts, swimlane diagrams, and BPMN notation.
- Identifying areas of inefficiency, redundancy, delays, and potential cost reductions within mapped processes.
- Proposing solutions to address issues discovered in process analysis, such as automation or workflow redesign.
- Leading discussions with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and collaboratively develop process improvement plans.
- Creating clear and concise documentation of revised processes and ensuring proper implementation and training.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of process mapping experience.
- Proficiency in using process mapping tools and techniques to create accurate and detailed visual representations of workflows.
- Public Service experience and Grant Management experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Proficiency in process improvement with a focus on enhancing existing processes.
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions from process information.
- Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with software tools like Microsoft Visio and BPMN modeling tools.
- Experience in writing technical documentation for processes, procedures, and reports.
- Ability to identify root causes of process issues and develop practical solutions.
