About the position

The Process Mechanical Engineer Project Manager - Wastewater PM will be responsible for the design and development of intelligent systems and industrial systems control within wastewater facilities. This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and involves overseeing engineering design functions, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, and providing technical reviews of project documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop intelligent systems and industrial systems control for wastewater facilities.
  • Perform principal level mechanical engineering work in the field, plant, and/or office.
  • Provide technical reviews of general and mechanical-specific content of submittal packages.
  • Review contract drawings to ensure details are shown and are sufficient.
  • Review contract specifications for proposed mechanical systems, equipment, and materials for sufficiency and durability.
  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) and develop field orders for construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Five years of experience in engineering design for water and/or wastewater facilities.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in Maryland, Virginia, or DC.
  • Proficiency in Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) such as Unifier or e-Builder (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with CAD or related software.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
