About the position

The Process/Project Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining production processes to ensure a 24-hour manufacturing operation meets quality standards, productivity, safety, and cost objectives. This role focuses on process improvement, managing projects, engineering trials, and leading maintenance efforts to ensure equipment reliability. The engineer will coordinate site capital projects, enhancing existing processes or developing new ones, from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement production processes to meet quality and productivity standards.
  • Manage assigned projects, including scheduling, performance, and reporting.
  • Lead maintenance and electrical technicians in preventive maintenance for equipment reliability.
  • Coordinate and execute site capital projects, including mechanical equipment and automation.
  • Collaborate with production staff to create accurate process documentation.
  • Initiate and manage capital investment projects to meet cost and schedule objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams for new product introduction projects.
  • Work with EHS to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Train personnel on processes, equipment, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Ceramic or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing processes.
  • Experience within an industrial engineering team, preferably in chemical, ceramic, or food plants.
  • Strong knowledge of data analytics and manufacturing best practices.
  • Experience with SPC, lean manufacturing, 5S, and Six-Sigma projects (certification is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of automation and PLC programming, with exposure to SCADA systems.
  • High level of interpersonal skills for building cooperative relationships.

  • Experience with CAPEX management.
  • Familiarity with Management of Change process.
