About the position

The Process Safety Engineer will oversee the site Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and initiatives at a chemical manufacturing facility. This role involves evaluating process safety incidents, ensuring compliance with regulations, leading process hazard analyses, and serving as the site expert on PSM initiatives. The engineer will also be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining all Process Safety Knowledge Management and Audit Programs/Systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for oversight of the site PSM programs and initiatives.
• Evaluate Process Safety incidents and provide corrective measures as needed.
• Support compliance with all company, local, and state process safety regulations.
• Lead Process Hazard Analyses as needed.
• Serve as the site PSM expert and advise engineering departments accordingly.
• Create, implement, and maintain all Process Safety Knowledge Management and Audit Programs/Systems.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Chemical Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Process/Production Engineer in a chemical manufacturing plant.
• Experience in a PSM regulated facility is required.
• Familiarity with all 14 elements of PSM is a plus.
