About the position

The Process Safety Expert will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and health of employees and the environment in Fairlawn, VA. This position involves providing technical support in Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSES) for ongoing and future projects, as well as daily site activities. The expert will lead and assist in root cause investigations to identify the underlying causes of incidents and develop strategies to prevent their recurrence. Additionally, the role includes conducting site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. The Process Safety Expert will also be responsible for waste and wastewater sampling and reporting, ensuring that all environmental regulations are met and that the company operates within legal limits. Training is a significant aspect of this role, as the Process Safety Expert will develop and provide training for contractors, visitors, and new employees. This training will cover essential safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment.
