About The Position

The Process Technician/Engineer II at Bouckaert Industrial Textiles Inc. is responsible for overseeing the work of Process Engineer I and assisting the VP of Manufacturing in the development, configuration, and optimization of industrial processes. This role ensures consistency and high quality in the manufacturing of products, while also providing opportunities for growth and development within a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Engineering preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience with fiber preparation, carding, and needle-punch manufacturing.
• Experience implementing process and quality improvements in a manufacturing environment.
• Impeccable math and statistical analysis skills.
• Previous project management experience with knowledge of project management software.
• Analytical thinker and problem-solver with interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of all manufacturing processes and products.
• Assist in specifying equipment and process requirements for new product development or improvements.
• Coordinate resolution of technical and process problems and modifications.
• Assist in manufacturing productivity and quality improvements on the production floor.
• Research, conduct, and test trials and sample runs, documenting results.
• Develop project plans and manage projects from inception to completion.
• Direct the work of Process Engineer I.
• Work with Safety to ensure proper safety set-up and safeguards for all new equipment.
• Report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
• Keep abreast of changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies affecting production.
• Assist with quality review board for problem identification, resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, safe work practices, and other company initiatives.
• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as directed by management.
