The Processing Specialist I - Data Entry role at Deluxe is a critical position responsible for the accurate input and correction of numeric and alpha information found on checks and deposit slips from various clients. In this role, the specialist will perform basic 10-key data entry tasks with minimal instruction. Responsibilities include entering, correcting, and verifying alpha and numeric data from checks, coupons, and invoices, whether read from images or paper supports. Specific tasks involve keying in the legal amount, courtesy amount, account numbers, invoice numbers, scanlines, and validating payee names and decision check types. The specialist must follow client guidelines while meeting strict deadlines and output requirements. Additionally, the Processing Specialist is responsible for identifying and reporting any client, system, or equipment issues and errors to the department leader. This position requires flexibility in work hours, including the possibility of staying late to complete assigned tasks, and the ability to adapt to changes as the business evolves.
