About the position

The Processing Specialist position is integral to the daily operations of a financial services company, focusing on the sorting and decision-making of non-standard or rejected transactions. This role involves handling various tasks related to transaction processing, ensuring quality control, and preparing reports, all within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex sorting and decision-making of non-standard or rejected transactions.
• Pull rejected transactions from all processing areas using reports and processing audit trails.
• Perform basic level transaction sorting and decision-making.
• Conduct high-speed mail extraction and scanning.
• Open envelopes and extract transactions, batch checks, invoices, and coupons according to instructions.
• Perform quality review on outgoing items.
• Prepare daily reconcilement and billing reports.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Computer skills.
• Ability to make decisions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
