As a Processing Technician on the B Crew at HP Hood LLC, you will play a crucial role in the production of ESL and Aseptic products. You will be responsible for performing various processing duties in Receiving, Weigh-Out, Batching, and VTIS to ensure that fillers receive the necessary products in a timely manner. In this role, you will administer, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for all processing work areas. You will need to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues that arise during processing. Additionally, you will maintain and rebuild essential equipment such as presses, homogenizers, and valves. Tracking department performance and providing regular progress reports to leadership will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will maintaining communication with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of product. You will also be expected to learn new equipment and procedures, maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of various processing equipment. Your role will involve submitting work orders via the MP2 system and interfacing with the Quality department to ensure that all products meet quality standards. This includes pulling and testing samples, swabbing batch systems, and verifying pallets and ingredients. Maintaining cleanliness in the processing areas is essential, and you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are kept clean and sanitary throughout your shift. The position also includes specific responsibilities in Receiving, Weigh Out & Batching, and VTIS. In Receiving, you will manage schedules for daily deliveries of liquid ingredients and ensure that all processes are followed during unloading. In the Weigh Out & Batching area, you will develop and maintain knowledge of batching for ESL and Aseptic products, stage products for batching, and operate various machinery involved in the batching process. In VTIS, you will monitor and adjust various parameters, complete necessary paperwork, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for the equipment.
