About the position
The Processing Technician plays a crucial role in the cannabis production process at DreamFields, working closely with the Infusion team to manage all aspects of cannabis infusion and processing operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of cannabis materials throughout various processing phases, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the company's goals of producing high-quality, innovative products in a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cannabis material during processing phases.
- Maintain electronic and paper logs for accurate weighing, tracking, and reporting of all inventory.
- Input data and manage the flow of production.
- Clean production areas to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with local and state health regulations.
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure the product meets or exceeds quality standards.
- Follow appropriate quality control measures and in-process checks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficiency in computer programs such as MS Office and METRC, among other systems.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for proper batch formulation.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience with a focus on inventory tracking, product safety, consumer safety, and maintaining high product quality.
Nice-to-haves
- Professional kitchen or baking experience is preferred.
