About the position

The Processing Technician role at Toyo Tanso USA involves production duties primarily in the Purification and Silicon Carbon Coating (SiC) Processing areas. The position is entry-level, requiring no prior experience as training will be provided. Technicians will operate and monitor processing vessels, perform inspections, and maintain safety standards while working with chemicals and high temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains system controls and operating procedure knowledge.
  • Loads/unloads parts into the processing vessels.
  • Visually inspects/measures parts, records processing data, and performs handwork for graphite and other coated products.
  • Removes and rotates chemical tanks.
  • Performs hands-on maintenance of the equipment as required.
  • Verifies the condition of all equipment and assists in minor troubleshooting.
  • Maintains high safety and security standards throughout all operations.
  • Adheres to all company standards after training.
  • Participates actively in all assigned phases of production.
  • Maintains cleanliness in the Processing area.
  • Checks, records, and reports processing equipment status, gas levels, and inventories.
  • Assists in design-making and placement of processing fixtures, performs handwork, and cleans parts before and after processing.
  • Works in various processing capacities and bag room as required by production needs.
  • Understands and uses Safety Data Sheets (SDS) documents.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Heat treating, manufacturing, or chemical experience is desirable.
  • Some chemistry and math ability is preferred.
  • Willingness to continue education and study Chemical Vapor Disposition.
  • Ability to lift at least 35 pounds and move safely in the production area.
  • Ability to work with high temperatures and vacuum vessels, lines, and scrubbing tanks.
  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment with graphite (nuisance dust).
  • Ability to bend into and lift out parts from deep vessels.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
