About the position

The Processor Trainee position at Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey is a full-time role focused on sorting, processing, and stocking both softline and hardline goods. The trainee is responsible for pricing and tagging items to maximize revenue and ensuring the quality of processed donations. This role requires successful completion of a 6-week introductory period to advance to a Processor position, contributing to the overall success of the Retail Team.

Responsibilities

• Sort, process, and stock softline and hardline goods including clothing, household items, and furniture.
• Price and tag items to achieve the highest dollar return.
• Maintain high quality in processing goods and ensure accurate pricing.
• Generate a minimum of $8,500 in store sales from processed items every two weeks during training.
• Keep work area and surrounding areas neat, clean, and orderly.
• Follow all customer service guidelines and provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist customers and donors, including accepting donations and selling merchandise.
• Receive cross-training in various roles to promote individual growth and maintain productivity.
• Stock the sales floor as assigned.
• Follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures.
