About the position
The position involves processing donations under the direction of the Team Leader. Key responsibilities include greeting and assisting donors, sorting and pricing donations, maintaining a clean processing area, and providing excellent customer service. The role is part-time and requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to handle physical tasks related to donation processing.
Responsibilities
- Greet each customer/donor with a courteous and professional attitude.
- Sort donations into proper carts or bins and assess their quality.
- Sort, box, and label hangers by type.
- Hang garments in a timely manner to maintain production levels.
- Present merchandise on appropriate racks according to merchandising policies.
- Sort and price hard goods (wares).
- Rotate stock and bring it to the sales floor in a timely manner.
- Keep the production area clean and safe.
- Maintain a well-groomed appearance and adhere to the dress code.
Requirements
- Ability to adhere to the organization's Core Principles.
- Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.
- Ability to react calmly to emergency situations.
- Ability to listen and follow directions.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of textile articles related to garment classification.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.
