About the position
The Processor position at T. Marzetti Company involves combining ingredients according to specific recipes to produce bread for croutons. The role requires operating various mixing equipment and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards while maintaining productivity in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Review all pertinent SOP's and act as a Qualified Individual (QI) for the position.
- Combine seasonings and other ingredients in the proper sequence and weigh and proportion as specified by product formulas.
- Change blades as required when broken or for size change.
- Monitor crouton size and quality; assume quality assurance duties at the inspection table when required.
- Fill dough mixer by lifting or pumping ingredients.
- Read scales and perform arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately.
- Provide product samples to QA according to defined requirements.
- Operate mixing equipment, pumps, mills, and valves to add ingredients in the correct amounts.
- Maintain company standards for cleanliness, food safety, and productivity in the processing area.
- Support the processing lead in maintaining continuous production.
- Work cooperatively with other members of the processing area.
- Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA, and HACCP support programs; assure conformity to all company, customer, and government standards.
- Strive to be a safety solutions leader by maintaining the 200% for safety mindset.
- Participate in engagement activities, complete required safety training, and aid in identifying hazards utilizing BBS and Safety Monitor programs.
- Participate in activities related to Marzetti Operational Excellence.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills are required.
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
