Responsibilities

• Administers minor first aid to students for immediate health care needs.
• Assists students during mealtime and playground activities.
• Controls traffic using a hand-held stop sign and reports unsafe conditions.
• Diffuses potential student conflicts to minimize incidents.
• Monitors assigned areas to ensure non-authorized persons are not on school grounds.
• Monitors crosswalks to assist students in following safety rules.
• Monitors students during assigned periods in various school environments.
• Reports observations and incidents relating to specific students to teachers or administration.
• Responds to inquiries from the public, parents, and students.
• Responds to potential emergencies to ensure safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certificate (online courses not accepted).
• Some job-related experience is desired.
• Fingerprint/criminal justice clearance; Tuberculosis clearance.
