About the position

Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to assume the role of a Procurement and Inventory Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for implementing the general Purchasing Strategy to drive cost reduction initiatives. This includes proposing and executing cost reduction projects and ideas, such as Quality value engineering, Change of supplier, and Negotiation, all in alignment with the Purchasing strategy goals. You will also maintain the purchasing database by regularly updating relevant data and assist in the commodity management strategy for supplier consultation, selection, negotiation, and contract management with local or specific suppliers. Additionally, you will lead activities related to the supply qualification system in the plant as per the defined responsibility matrix. As a Procurement and Inventory Manager, you will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or an equivalent field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Purchasing and Project Management. A solid understanding of Engineering and Manufacturing Processes is a plus, as well as knowledge of Supply Chain aspects such as Supplier Management, Cost analysis, Market analysis, and Inventory Management. Proficiency in Project Management and cross-functional team collaboration is essential, along with strong problem analysis and synthesis skills. Familiarity with Excel and Database Management skills will be beneficial in this role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Project Management and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Strong problem analysis and synthesis skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel; Database Management skills are beneficial.
