About the position

The Procurement and Logistics Specialist role involves overseeing warehouse operations, managing inventory, and ensuring effective purchasing strategies. This position is crucial for maintaining supplier relationships and optimizing logistics processes within a rapidly growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Ensure purchase orders are tracked and invoices are reconciled.
  • Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns.
  • Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
  • Experience in a warehouse environment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong leadership qualities

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AS400 systems for inventory management
  • Familiarity with NetSuite
  • E-commerce experience
