As a member of the Global Procurement and Supply Chain team, the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing the Procurement and Supply Chain team through the entire procurement and supply chain process. This role requires effective collaboration with various departments and teams, as well as maintaining strong supplier relationships. The manager will handle complex negotiations with stakeholders, identify, select, and manage relationships with suppliers, and monitor the purchasing cycle through the team's performance. This includes overseeing purchase orders and requisitions, monitoring supplier performance, recommending improvements, and addressing any quality issues related to supplier products. The essential duties of the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager include building effective collaborations within different departments, training and developing a high-performing team, and managing the planning of procurement and supply chain activities. This encompasses inventory control, logistics, and distribution, ensuring a cost-effective flow of goods and services throughout the supply chain. The manager will serve as a liaison between vendors and company personnel, develop a clear vision aligned with organizational goals, and identify potential risks while developing mitigation strategies. Additionally, the manager will optimize inventory levels, implement inventory control measures, analyze and implement cost-effective strategies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Collaboration with internal teams to negotiate timelines, budgets, and expectations is crucial for effective cross-functional cooperation. The role also involves managing a portfolio of suppliers, conducting performance analysis, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously improve supply chain performance. The manager will utilize data analytics to forecast demand and make data-driven decisions, evaluate proposals based on various factors, and coordinate supplier inquiries with relevant departments.
