About the position

The Purchasing Associate role at 11th Hour Staffing Inc. involves supporting the Purchasing Manager in sourcing components and materials, managing supplier relationships, and providing administrative assistance. The ideal candidate should be energetic, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing a variety of components, materials, and processes from the approved supplier list.
• Sourcing potential new suppliers.
• Using Excel spreadsheets to perform price and delivery analysis and complete requests for quotes.
• Providing administrative/secretarial support, including answering telephones and assisting visitors.
• Becoming proficient in both the mechanical and electrical sectors.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of purchasing experience required.
• Experience in manufacturing or machine shop environments.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and data entry skills.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent follow-up and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of military components and COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) products.
