About the position
The Procurement Clerk/Sourcing Analyst role is a hybrid position based in either Chicago, IL or Washington, DC, requiring in-office attendance one day a week. The primary focus of this role is to provide analytical support and troubleshooting assistance within procurement systems, ensuring users are effectively trained and supported in their use of these systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and experience in procurement or sourcing teams, particularly in administrative roles that involve user credential setup and data management.
Responsibilities
- Assist users in setting up user credentials in procurement systems.
- Upload data into procurement systems and ensure accuracy.
- Train users on how to effectively use procurement systems.
- Interpret contracts and manage data uploads into the procurement system.
- Provide frontline support for troubleshooting user issues.
- Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and User Guides.
- Test system updates and changes for front-end users.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in customer service, particularly in a procurement or sourcing context.
- Familiarity with interpreting contracts and uploading data into procurement systems.
- Experience with procurement ERP systems, particularly Workday or similar financial ERP systems.
- Proficient in Excel and intermediate experience with sourcing/e-Procurement tools.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with GEP procurement tools is a significant plus.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new applications.
- Tech-savvy with troubleshooting skills for system issues.
