About the position

The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for procurement necessary for continued operation and maintenance of all company equipment. This role ensures compliance with CMMS standards and is responsible for keeping an accurate and adequate supply of critical spare parts, tools, warehouse supplies, and other necessary equipment. The coordinator helps to develop maintenance plans and schedules to maximize material handling equipment uptime, planning and scheduling based on preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and other KPIs. Additionally, the position involves planning and organizing all inventories.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the materials planning, scheduling and ordering activities associated with the delivery of specific parts and or products.
  • Analyzes work orders by size, urgency, skill set, location, complexity, and available manpower and assist maintenance team by issuing work orders in a sequential flow to individual technicians or work teams.
  • Coordinates the engagement and direction of appropriate subcontractors and RFP process.
  • Work closely with Technicians to stage materials, permits, subcontractors, tools, and other resources necessary to accomplish the work in the most productive manner possible.
  • Develop, maintain and distribute workflow processes to the entire account team documenting how work is planned, scheduled and executed.
  • Provides regular statistical reporting to the management team showing quantities evidence of the productive use of the work force.
  • Drives a proactive maintenance spare parts and warehouse operational supplies keeping and replenishment programs.
  • Uses guidelines set by management, develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance and life cycle optimization strategies.
  • Performs annual review of all inventories, maintenance programs to ensure current work order system library contains correct frequencies and balanced 12-month schedules for all technicians and vendors.
  • Determines appropriate predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Trains the work force in the use of CMMS techniques.
  • Analyzes predictive maintenance data for trends. Initiates corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Negotiating purchasing agreements.
  • Ensuring materials and products meet company specifications.
  • Managing vendor relationships.
  • Creating purchase orders.
  • Maintaining inventory records.
  • Controlling the procurement budget.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Required.
  • Minimum of four years of related experience and/or training working within an industrial maintenance complex, manufacturing/distribution industries, facilities management, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMS use.
  • Prefer hands-on experience in material handling systems installation, operation, and/or maintenance.
  • Experience with contracting, purchasing and negotiations.
