About the position
The Procurement Knowledge and Process Specialist at Dart Container is responsible for enhancing the procurement function by capturing and organizing knowledge-based services. This role focuses on refining purchasing processes to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisitions while ensuring compliance with organizational goals and legal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure procurement policies and procedures comply with organizational goals and objectives
- Develop and implement standardized training programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement procurement strategies
- Provide training and support to procurement staff on policies and procedures
- Develop and implement communication plans for changes in procurement processes
- Monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Identify and propose process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings
- Prepare and maintain procurement dashboards and reports to track performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, technical or related field
- Industry procurement experience working cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and/or manufacturing
- Experience with central purchasing systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices
- Understanding of technology and trends in the supply chain function
- Effective problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
- Experience managing multiple tasks, projects, and priorities.
