The Procurement Manager for Asset Management at Ecolab is a pivotal role that involves leading indirect procurement activities for various subcategories, including Heavy Fleet, Light Fleet, Material Handling Equipment, and Re-Usable Stainless Tanks. This position typically reports to the Senior Manager of Asset Management Procurement and is designed for a take-charge leader who can drive procurement strategy and collaborate with teams to develop commercial solutions that accelerate growth. The successful candidate will be recognized as an expert in procurement strategy and will have opportunities for career advancement within Ecolab, potentially moving into other procurement and supply chain leadership roles. In this role, the Procurement Manager will identify, develop, and implement comprehensive category sourcing strategies and savings projects aimed at reducing total delivered costs, mitigating potential challenges, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The manager will oversee a Total Delivered Cost (TDC) sourcing process that includes spend analytics, market analyses, team workshops, should-cost models, sourcing strategy development, and negotiation. Effective communication of strategies, results, and metrics to leadership teams is essential. The Procurement Manager will also be responsible for developing contract strategies and negotiating key commercial and supply positions that align with Ecolab's business requirements and goals. Staying informed about industry trends for assigned categories is crucial, as is providing guidance and recommendations to business units to support margin and top-line growth. The role involves implementing strategic supplier strategies and initiatives, developing business relationships at multiple levels within supplier accounts, and managing performance, quality improvement, productivity, and service levels. Additionally, the Procurement Manager will lead, coach, and develop direct reports to ensure strong performance and build high-performing teams. The position requires the development and alignment of strategic projects to improve procurement processes, tools, and efficiencies, as well as managing procurement work streams associated with growth strategies and acquisitions to meet corporate objectives. Collaboration with Corporate and Supply Chain Finance teams on lease/buy strategy and P&L forecast impact is also a key responsibility, along with alignment with the Fleet Operations Manager and Corporate Sustainability team to meet corporate goals for carbon emission reduction.
