The Procurement Manager for Production Equipment at CRH's Americas Materials division plays a crucial role in driving cost reductions and managing supplier relationships to enhance the company's profitability and competitive edge. This position is based anywhere within the South Division and is responsible for overseeing spend categories related to production equipment. The manager will implement category-related decisions regarding products and services at a local level, ensuring that local business requirements are integrated into the overall category strategy. As a member of the regional category team, the Procurement Manager will utilize the category management process to develop strategies, execute tenders, and establish effective supply programs, ensuring the success of these initiatives. In this role, the Procurement Manager will act as the primary contact for the business regarding production equipment, accountable for procurement KPI performance management and adherence to processes within their area of responsibility. The manager will ensure that products and services are procured in the most cost- and time-efficient manner, implementing best practices in purchasing. They will also serve as an escalation point for unresolved claims and will be responsible for executing the RFX and tactical processes, including negotiations for smaller or single-country categories. The role requires alignment with division stakeholders and adherence to market and global procurement strategies, while maintaining strategic relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders in the production equipment sector. The Procurement Manager will analyze supply markets, anticipate changes, and drive procurement activities accordingly. They will evaluate contracts and suppliers to facilitate informed decisions regarding the supplier base, coordinating the implementation of category and supplier strategies within the division.
