About the position

The Procurement Manager position at CBRE is a critical role focused on the development and implementation of a strategic procurement platform that encompasses maintenance, repair, and facilities service contracts, as well as capital expenditures and corporate purchases. The overarching goal of this position is to leverage purchasing power, enhance operational efficiency, and drive profitability across the organization. This role is integral to ensuring that procurement processes align with the company's objectives and that all purchasing activities are conducted in a standardized and efficient manner. In this role, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing, planning, prioritizing, and implementing national and regional contracting and procurement strategies. This includes creating standardized systems and controls for procurement, such as Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation, work authorization processes, and eligibility criteria for suppliers and contractors. The manager will oversee the supplier and contractor certification process, ensuring that all potential partners meet the necessary experience, legal, financial, and operational requirements. Additionally, the Procurement Manager will maintain contracts with national and regional service providers, coordinate global sourcing processes, and foster relationships with suppliers to assist in contract negotiations. The role also involves establishing requirements for centralized procurement database systems and serving as the primary contact for utilization management and coordination with external procurement solutions. Training programs will be developed to educate employees on procurement procedures, and policies and procedures will be created to support client and sector procurement objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement national/regional contracting and procurement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Create standardized systems and controls for procurement, including RFP documentation and purchase order systems.
  • Oversee the supplier/contractor certification process, ensuring compliance with experience and financial viability requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain contracts with service providers in accordance with company standards.
  • Manage global sourcing processes and practices in collaboration with internal customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors, assisting in contract negotiations.
  • Establish requirements for centralized procurement database systems and ensure their integrity.
  • Act as the point of contact for utilization management and coordination with external procurement solutions.
  • Participate in approved procurement organizations or related initiatives on behalf of the company.
  • Develop training programs and assist in training employees on procurement procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement of MRO services and supplies across multiple industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract administration, negotiation, quality assurance, and procurement management.
  • Experience in implementing e-procurement solutions and exposure to systems development and supplier management.
