About the position

Danfoss is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead procurement tasks at the Longmont site within the Power Solutions EDITRON Division. This role involves optimizing strategic and operational procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring effective communication across various business functions. The Procurement Manager will also be responsible for developing a high-performing team and driving cost-saving initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support the business strategy and execute it within the area of responsibility.
  • Recruit, develop, and train team members.
  • Lead a team of 2-4 strategic buyers and sourcing project managers.
  • Act as a procurement representative in BU/site meetings for S&OP and key projects.
  • Provide an interface between Category Management, Project Management, and Supplier Quality.
  • Liaise with various areas of the Divisions and Business in support of operations.
  • Ensure seamless flow of parts from external suppliers with defined quality and lead time.
  • Manage bottlenecks and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Deliver cost-saving project pipeline from ideation to execution.
  • Plan and run dual sourcing, localization, and risk mitigation projects.
  • Supervise and coach team members in simultaneous engineering projects.
  • Monitor supplier performance and initiate improvement plans.
  • Manage supplier capacity with a 6+ months horizon.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers.
  • Oversee budgeting and annual standard costing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, or business management.
  • 5+ years' experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, or supply chain.
  • People leadership experience is a plus.
  • Experience with sourcing electronic components, printed circuit boards, and power modules is preferred.
  • Ability to create relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Outstanding communication and cooperation skills.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
