About the position

The Procurement Manager at MC Residential Companies, LLC is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive procurement strategy that optimizes costs, ensures quality, and fosters compliance across various operational divisions. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on management of procurement activities, supplier relationships, contract management, and process improvements to align procurement operations with the company's objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive long-term cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Establish processes for gathering competitive pricing through RFPs and RFQs.
  • Conduct benchmarking and expense analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Standardize contract terms and manage contracts to ensure compliance and timely renewals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to secure reliable services and favorable terms.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to quality and service metrics.
  • Benchmark expenses and negotiate cost-saving opportunities for high-cost areas.
  • Conduct audits of procurement policies and procedures to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Evaluate and recommend procurement software and/or AI solutions to improve processes.
  • Work closely with internal departments to integrate procurement strategies into broader business objectives.

Requirements

  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a procurement/contract management role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or CIPS certification.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing with vendors.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing a procurement program is preferred.
  • Knowledge of procurement laws and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Familiarity with supply chain principles and market conditions.
  • Understanding of risk management and supplier diversification.
