About the position

The Procurement & Operations Coordinator at the University of Colorado Denver is a full-time role responsible for managing procurement and operations support for the Business School. This position ensures compliance with university policies related to procurement, travel, and facilities operations, while also serving as a liaison for various procurement-related activities. The role involves collaboration with faculty and staff, fiscal reporting, and managing facilities operations, making it essential for maintaining efficient business processes within the school.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all procurement related activities for the CU Denver Business School.
  • Process travel reimbursements and personal reimbursements.
  • Allocate procurement card and travel card expenses.
  • Order supplies through Marketplace and via procurement card.
  • Serve as primary liaison for procurement cards and travel cards for Business School needs.
  • Communicate via email with faculty and staff regarding procurement matters.
  • Serve as systems backup in Marketplace for Purchase Orders, SPO creations, SOWs, and invoice processing.
  • Track faculty research fund usage via spreadsheets.
  • Manage CU Denver Business School facilities including work requests and maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate building access requests and updates.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and ordering.
  • Order business cards and assist with printing jobs.
  • Manage mail and package deliveries.
  • Assist the Assistant Dean of Finance and Operations with fiscal reporting needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, public policy, business, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • One (1) year of professional experience in an operations role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two (2) years of operations experience.
  • Previous experience at the University of Colorado in a similar position, using CU systems (Marketplace, Concur, HCM).
